“Once again, on the youthful straw-green side. Even more intense on the nose than its brother Trocken: ripe tropical fruit joins the party, like mango. A touch sweeter on the palate, of course, as a halbtrocken…but richer and more vigorous. A Mosel with structure and body, great for charred grilled foods that feature a touch of sweetness (think grilled duck breast with fresh figs).” – David Rosengarten

Three hundred years of family tradition stand behind this marvelous Middle Mosel winery, making a range of wines from their steep, stony slopes. I like the combination the winemakers find in their dry and off-dry wines featuring Mosel delicacy, plus a little extra framing.
